Preparing for a School Concert
Preparing for a School Concert
Last month, our class prepared for a school concert, and it was a journey of hard work and teamwork. We decided to sing a song called Shine Like Stars—it’s a cheerful song about friendship and courage. At first, we struggled: some of us couldn’t hit the high notes, and we didn’t know how to dance to the song. Our music teacher, Ms. Chen, helped us. She practiced with us every afternoon after school. She taught us to breathe properly when singing, and she created simple dance moves that everyone could do. We divided into groups: some of us practiced singing, others practiced dancing, and a few of us made posters to promote the concert. There were times when we felt tired—once, we practiced until 6 p.m., and I wanted to give up. But my classmates encouraged me: “We’re in this together!” On the day of the concert, I was nervous, but when I saw my classmates smiling at me, I felt brave. We sang and danced our best, and the audience cheered loudly. When we finished, we hugged each other, proud of what we’d accomplished. This experience taught me that with teamwork and hard work, we can achieve anything. The concert wasn’t just about singing—it was about working together as a class and having fun.
