Being a Volunteer

Being a volunteer is a meaningful experience. Volunteers help others without asking for anything in return. I once volunteered at a community center, helping clean public areas and read books to the elderly. Seeing their smiles made me feel warm and proud. Volunteering teaches us to be kind, responsible and thankful. It also helps us make new friends who share the same kindness. We don’t need to do great things; even small acts of help count. Volunteering makes the world warmer and helps us grow into better people. I will keep volunteering as long as I can.
